CASE STUDY
Spar, West Auckland
The re-development of a former churchyard into a Spar store required the attenuation of surface run-off from the site for discharge into the River Gaunless. As the site included a significant area of car parking, run-off from this area was first routed through a petrol interceptor to ensure that any spills from traffic were first removed from teh system before entering a soakaway. Due to the size of soakaway required, a tanking system was employed that allowed a void of 95% beneath the car park to store a large volume of water prior to infiltration through a soakaway.
