At R G Parkins, we are experienced in inspecting, reporting on and providing repair and refurbishment specifications for historic and Listed buildings, working in partnership with architects, Historic England, English Heritage, the National Trust and local authority Conservation Officers.
In line with conservation policies, our preference is always to stabilise and repair heritage buildings and traditionally built structures using appropriate traditional and modern methods.
Working with the fabric and existing structure of a building, we strive for minimal interventions while bringing the building up to modern day structural standards and realising new uses for today’s audiences.
We work with the building owner and your architect to develop the concept, before producing the structural drawings to realise your vision and ensure it gains planning and building control consents. We’ll also assist the contractor during the works through to project completion and handover.
