Gurnal Bridge Lane, Kendal
Our civil engineers undertook the optioneering and subsequent detailed design of a section of replacement highway at Gurnal Bridge Lane, just outside Kendal, following the partial collapse of the existing highway due to embankment erosion. The design included relocating the highway away from the River Sprint, improving the running of the existing watercourse alongside the new highway and the construction of new field accesses over the existing watercourse.
